The users of the Shell Rewards program are encountering conflicts with convenience store operators. Consumers do not understand the program and how it actually works and have conflicts with convenience store operators.
Problem lies with the administration by a third party company. Shell Rewards Customer Service is unable to help, and representatives usually based in the Far East will stall, ask unnecessary questions, fail to grasp issues, and refuse to transfer calls. I encountered line level personnel who demonstrate a strong unwillingness to transfer a call who were incapable of dealing with the problem. Questions are repeated after answers have already been given.
Many of these questions are an avoidance of the issues. My issue did not even require my identity to proceed.
